Hello,
I installed LiteRadius and added 1 location to test and it does not come up I keep getting: No locations found near 609 Ford Drive.

I basically copied the html from the golf_locator.html and just removed the filter code for carts, fine dining, pro shop.

Will the search field search only zip codes or does it need a full address?

here is then url:

Thanks,

The Google server probably needs a little more information to determine where the point of origin is.

When you input an address, that location is sent to the Google Server to get a location latitude and longitude coordinate. That coordinate pair location is then cross referenced to your location data to find nearest locations.

By inputting 609 Ford Drive, you are asking the Google Map server to find 609 Ford Drive throughout the entire country, and it makes its best guess (maybe Toronto, maybe Montreal) wherever it thinks it might be.

Specific addresses can be input like 609 Ford Drive, but usually require a city or postal code to guide Google to the correct location.

I would try something like a postal code to check first.

Also be sure your search radius is not too small. The default value of 600 km is usually fine for most situations.

Ok It seems to be working now. I think I may have entered the zip code wrong.

Another question, when entering locations in the admin can the Location_id be any string?

Thanks,

The location_id can be any unique identifier, up to 20 characters in length.
