type in City no Results - type in postal code lots of results

on my store locator http://healthguard.com/where-to-buy/ when you type in Halifax for example, you get "No locations found near Halifax."

But when you type in a Halifax postal code, B3H 1Y6 for example, you see there are lots of Halifax locations.

Why is that?  What am I doing wrong? thanks.

The Google server probably needs a little more information to determine where the point of origin is.

When you input a city like Halifax, that location is sent to the Google Server to get a location latitude and longitude coordinate. That coordinate pair location is then cross referenced to your location data to find nearest locations.

When you enter Halifax, Google makes its best guess wherever it thinks it might be in the world.

If you input Halifax, CA, you help Google make a better estimate of your point of origin.
